Mike Carroll appointed CEO of ACRADIS in the UK

Mike Carroll was appointed CEO of ARCADIS in the UK on 28 June 2011. Mike will now be responsible for giving direction to the business and overseeing all ARCADIS operations which take place in the UK.

Preceding his appointment Mr Carroll was the managing director of the environment for ARCADIS and has over 30 years of experience in the engineering and environmental sector having held numerous senior positions.

His last position with ARCADIS in the US was as president of the infrastructure division where he worked on water and transportation infrastructure.

Hoare Lea appoints new partner

Hoare Lea has announced that Saul Tyler BEng (Hons) CEng MCIBSE, has accepted an invitation to join the partnership.

Saul Tyler joined Hoare Lea in 2001, having gained a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester University and experience working on projects in the UK, Asia and Australia.

With more than 15 years of experience in environmental engineering building design, he has gained considerable expertise in the commercial office sector.

He sits on Hoare Lea’s office sector group, which is responsible for co-ordinating the firm’s activities that market.

Baringa Partners appoint Jayesh Parmar

Baringa Partners, an independent management consultancy specialising in the energy, utilities and financial services sectors, has appointed Jayesh Parmar as a partner.

Jayesh Parmar takes responsibility for the firm’s new energy advisory service practice. He brings a wealth of experience and his appointment will enable Baringa to develop and grow its advisory services further.

Mr Parmar has more than twenty years of experience in the energy sector, particularly in the oil, gas and utilities verticals.

Hydrock appoints geo-environmental associate

Hydrock has appointed Mark Briggs, previously with URS and Mouchel, as geo-environmental sssociate.

Mr Briggs has 20 years of experience in the regeneration of brownfield sites for both residential and commercial use. With a background as an engineering geologist, he is able to combine both the scientific and engineering disciplines associated with land regeneration, and develop pragmatic and effective solutions to complex sites.

Mark Briggs will head up an experienced team of geo-environmental engineers in the South West to provide technical advice on various aspects of their environmental work.

Cundall appoints mechanical and electrical director

International multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy Cundall, have appointed Jack Devlin as a mechanical and electrical director in their Edinburgh office. 

Jack’s previous role was as regional business line director (north) within AECOM, where he was responsible for the strategic and operational development of business units in Scotland, Ireland and the north of England. Working with Cundall’s established management team, Jack will assist in raising Cundall’s profile in Scotland, and enhance their existing capabilities building on their reputation in Scotland, and elsewhere across the globe.
