Alan Bramwell, chief executive of Clancy Consulting, has joined the board of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE).
The move follows his appointment as chairman of ACE’s national SME forum, a new group that will help to strengthen the position of small and medium-sized consultancies.
Nelson Ogunshakin, ACE chief executive, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have Alan join the board. His experience will be invaluable. This will strengthen the voice of SMEs within ACE.”
Before joining the board, Alan Bramwell was chairman of ACE’s North West regional group.
Michelle McDowell, ACE chair, said: “Alan has nearly thirty years of experience with Clancy Consulting. He understands what matters to small and medium-sized firms. He will be an extremely valuable member of the board and we are pleased to have him.”
Over 80% of ACE’s membership consists of SMEs. Previously, they have been represented on the board by ACE’s sector interest groups.
Alan Bramwell said: “I was honoured to be asked to join ACE’s board and to represent SMEs. I am looking forward to reflecting the views and priorities of the small member firms that make up such a large part of ACE’s membership and the consultancy sector as a whole.”
Alan Bramwell joined the board on 7 September.
