Senior figures at ACE, along with members of staff, were given a tour of the Olympic park by the chairman of the ODA, John Armitt CBE.
John led a bus tour of the park that included a lap of the athletics track in the Olympic stadium, and took the opportunity to highlight a number of key features.
While the Olympic Stadium is the largest venue in the park, he noted that the seating at the aquatics centre rose higher than the highest seats for those watching athletics.
With thousands of homes built as part of the Olympic village, venues complete with a year to go, and with the River Lea made beautiful with new landscaping, there was a sense of real achievement across the site.
