The Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) has launched a Community Engagement report. The report looks at how ACE members involve communities in their projects.
The report covers work on transport maintenance, flooding, reservoirs, development for a steelworks, highways, community public spaces, a waste depository and a new bridge.
Nelson Ogunshakin, ACE chief executive, said: “This report illustrates the community engagement work that ACE members undertake when they work on projects. Without such engagement, communities can feel ignored and are not given the correct information.
“ACE believes it is vital that project developers always involve the communities that are impacted by a project, listening to their concerns, explaining the nature of the project and reporting back to the community during the life cycle of the project.”
