The Association for Consultancy and Engineering offers its congratulations to member company Royal Haskoning for winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Export. The award recognises outstanding achievement in international trade sustained over not less than a three year period.
In a difficult economic climate, Royal Haskoning has continued to grow its overseas business delivering innovative projects and demonstrating the real benefits to society delivered by ACE member companies.
Nelson Ogunshakin OBE, ACE chief executive, said: “On behalf of ACE I would like to congratulate Royal Haskoning on their award. This prestigious accolade is recognition of the contribution that Royal Haskoning is making to the UK economy and society around the world. It is a particularly notable achievement given the difficult market conditions in which we are all operating.
“The consultancy and engineering sector has grown strongly in overseas markets in recent years. Work done by UK consultants contributes more than £5 billion per year to the UK economy. Companies such as Royal Haskoning demonstrate how our industry is playing a critical role in stimulating growth in the UK economy.”
