ACE congratulates incoming Prime Minister with call for infrastructure investment

The Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) has congratulated the incoming Prime Minister on his appointment and creation of a coalition government.  In an open letter to the Prime Minister, David Cameron, ACE has called for concerted action in addressing the budget deficit and maintaining infrastructure investment.

In an open letter to the PM, ACE has said that when it comes to rebuilding the UK’s economy, continued investment in essential infrastructure and buildings is indispensable.  ACE member companies are at the leading edge of meeting this challenge.  They deliver tangible benefits to communities around the UK, create sustainable, high value jobs and contribute to the balance of trade.

Nelson Ogunshakin, ACE chief executive, said: “ACE looks forward to working with the new Cabinet and junior ministers from both parties to put infrastructure and construction at the heart of the recovery.  There are many challenges ahead and ACE wishes to play its part in achieving the aims of the country: revitalising economic growth and moving towards a low carbon economy.”

ACE recognises David Cameron and Nick Clegg have shown considerable political leadership in forming a coalition government.
