ACE has today announced the shortlist for its prestigious Engineering Excellence Awards. The awards recognise small, medium and large firms for excellence in building structures, infrastructure, and building services. There is also an award for the best, research, studies, and consulting project.
Finally, ACE will recognise one individual who has championed the consultancy and engineering sector and raised the profile of what engineers do by naming the ACE Engineering Ambassador of the Year.
Nelson Ogunshakin, chief executive of ACE, said: “The wide range of submissions is a testament to the enterprise and diversity of consultancy and engineering firms. We have some of the largest firms in the global engineering sector in this country as well as a great many smaller specialist firms who also drive innovation.”
The entries this year reflect the wide range of work that ACE members are involved in. All the entries met, and in many cases, exceeded the environmental standards required of design and build.
Nelson Ogunshakin added: “This year’s awards will see the best of the consultancy and engineering recognised for their achievement and for their role in the reshaping of the British and global economy.”
The award ceremony, and the ACE gala dinner, takes place on the 14 April.
