10:25 - NIP and the NIPSEF
Following the general election, the Government set out a comprehensive National Infrastructure Plan (NIP), with a new strategy for meeting the infrastructure needs of the UK economy. In 2012, Industry signaled its willingness to work with government to meet these infrastructure needs, with the creation of the NIP Strategic Engagement Forum (NIPSEF). This panel (made up of NIPSEF representatives) will evaluate the ongoing issues around NIP and how the NIPSEF can best be utilised to facilitate the delivery of NIP.

11:20 – The UK Guarantees Scheme
The 2012 UK Guarantees Scheme aims to kick start critical infrastructure projects that may have stalled because of adverse credit conditions. Around £40 billion of infrastructure projects and up to 10 billion in new homes could qualify for the provision of guarantees. This panel will outline more detail around the scheme and discuss issues around its utilisation and successful delivery.
