A 'meet the buyer' event is being held in Kent this Thursday (February 16th) to give contractors, consultants and material suppliers a chance to meet procurement decision makers.
The Canterbury event is being hosted by Constructionline and will be attended by representatives from Canterbury City Council, Kent University and the London Borough of Bexley, among others.
Constructionline, which is a partnership between Capita and the Department for Business Innovation and Skills, hopes that its meet the buyer programme will generate business opportunities for companies that may have otherwise missed out.
"In many cases local councils and other businesses want to give work to SMEs in their area, and in turn the contractors are eager to win these tenders but it's often hard for each to gain access to one another," it said.
This edition of meet the buyer takes place at Canterbury Christchurch University between 9am and 4pm, during which time pre-registered firms are free to drop in.
